Autumn Hunter is a mixed media artist based in Raleigh, North Carolina where she explores themes of rest, independence, and belonging. Her figurative work focuses on feminine independence and having the courage to break away from expectations you haven’t agreed to, while her floral work is a return to her roots. It hones in on finding rest in family, nature, and having a deep sense of belonging in community. Hunter enjoys expanding both bodies of work to feel a sense of emotional balance, straddling both independence as a woman and strong family ties as a mother, wife, and daughter.
